Job Title:Safety Specialist
Location: West Texas area
Job Summary: The Safety Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management within the company, ensuring a safe working environment at our job site locations. This role is field-based and involves implementing safety policies, conducting safety training, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and implement safety programs and policies to ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with applicable safety regulations. This may involve developing safety manuals, training materials, and safety plans.
•Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
•Provide safety training and education to Field Services team. Provide guidance and recommendations to improve HSE performance across operations.
•Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and preventive measures.
•Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
•Maintain safety records and documentation.
•Oversee the maintenance and care of PPE. Ensure compliance with applicable PPE standards. Perform PPE risk assessments and selection activities.
•Collaborate with Operations and senior management to promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
•Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, ASP) is preferred.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
•Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
•Excellent communication and training skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
•This position may require working in various weather conditions.
•Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
•Will require travel to different site locations in West Texas and New Mexico.
