Job description
We are seeking a qualified and safety-driven Traveling Safety Inspector with a strong background in electrical safety to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety of employees across multiple job sites, conducting site audits, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, ISO 45K and company safety protocols. The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical experience and a passion for promoting a proactive safety culture.
Job Responsibilities:
•Travel to job sites in the Central Region to enforce and support company safety programs. (subject to travel to other regions)
•Conduct site-specific safety audits and inspections with a focus on electrical hazards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash risks, and PPE compliance.
•Deliver safety training related to electrical work (e.g., NFPA 70E, Qualified Electrical Worker, OSHA electrical standards, energized work protocols).
•Perform root cause analysis and thorough incident investigations for electrical-related accidents or near misses.
•Ensure teams are following proper procedures for working with energized and de-energized systems.
•Review and assist in developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) specific to electrical tasks.
•Serve as a resource for field crews and supervisors regarding electrical safety best practices.
•Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports and provide regular updates to safety management.
•Promote a strong culture of safety and accountability at all levels of the organization.
•Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning activities.
•Promotes and implements safety awareness through proactive work practices and development of company culture to enhance and improved regulatory compliance. Ensures organization compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, ISO 45K and other state and federal regulations.
•Conducts routine inspections and audits, as required, to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
•Participates in incident investigations and assist with the development of corrective action plans by providing education / best practices to prevent recurrence.
•Inspects, documents and tracks equipment (e.g., fall protection equipment, ladders), tools, and working conditions inspections to ensure safety of workers engaged in construction and maintenance work activities. Recommends replacement equipment that do not meet safety requirements.

Position Requirements
•High school diploma or GED required
•Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a construction safety role or a construction field leadership role with safety-adjacent responsibilities
•In-depth knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926 standards and NFPA 70E.
•Ability to travel frequently and work in a variety of site conditions.
•OSHA 30-Hour Certification required; additional certifications such as NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, CHST, or CSP are highly desirable.
•Displays strong verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively convey information to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
•Must be proactive and self-accountable for timely completion of assigned tasks
•Physically able to perform all assigned tasks, all weather conditions
•Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
•Must be able to walk, stand, climb ladders, and wear necessary PPE for extended periods
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Ability to be an effective member of project teams.
•Will frequently be required to travel
Skills required
•Has working knowledge and experience in Microsoft programs such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, etc. Can use technology to your advantage for increased efficiency.
•Demonstrates good interpersonal relations by working well with teams internally and externally.
•Skilled at making verbal and written presentations and communications with others.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
