Safety Attendant Foreman - Axis Alabama

Job Title: Safety Attendant Foreman Location: Axis, Alabama (Locals Only – No Per Diem)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 10-hour days

About the Role

PK Safety is seeking a dependable and experienced Safety Attendant Foreman to lead our Safety Attendant team in Axis, Alabama. This is a local-only position (no per diem). The Foreman will perform all the duties of a Safety Attendant while also providing leadership, coordination, and oversight of the team to ensure safety compliance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

- Perform all duties of a Safety Attendant, including:

- Monitoring confined spaces

- Performing fire watch duties

- Performing breathing air (bottle watch) duties in compliance with work permits

- Maintaining accurate records and promptly reporting incidents or hazards

- Responding to emergencies and participating in safety training programs

- Lead and supervise the Safety Attendant team by:

- Assigning tasks and ensuring coverage of work areas

- Serving as the primary point of contact between Safety Attendants and site management

- Monitoring team performance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols

- Providing guidance, coaching, and support to team members

- Escalating concerns to management when necessary

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional safety/security certifications preferred.

- Proven experience as a Safety Attendant or similar safety role in an industrial environment.

- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead by example and promote a positive safety culture.

- Detail-oriented with strong observational skills.

- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.

- Familiarity with first aid and CPR is a plus.

- Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather.
