NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY

Job Title:ROW Technician I

Department:Operations

Location:Summerdale

Description of Responsibilities:

•

Maintain the right-of-way so that the lines are kept clear of debris to ensure a continued reliable electric service to members and to reduce line loss.

•

Form and maintain positive relationships with members while performing right-of-way tasks.

•

Clean and inspect all equipment to verify its proper maintenance and compliance with safety rules.

•

Inspect right-of-way trucks and other mechanical equipment for safety and good working order.

•

Controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed; placing warning devices to protect the work area.

•

Cutting, chipping and loading brush and wood cut by crew, raking and cleaning the work area.

•

Successful completion of prescribed training courses for a line clearance tree trimmer.

Minimum Requirements:

•

High school diploma or equivalent.

•

Must have experience operating chain saws, chipper equipment, commercial trucks, chemical use, reading maps, and ability to read job orders.

•

Must have a valid driver’s license.

•

Must have or obtain first aid and CPR certification.

•

Must have or obtain a Class A CDL.

•

Must complete certification for the Electrical Hazard Awareness Program (EHAP).

Working Conditions:

•

Position requires outdoor work virtually 100 percent of the time.

•

Overtime and weekend work may be required.

•

Subject to call out during adverse weather conditions or other emergencies.
