- Supports safety culture and ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
- Directs Maintenance Supervisors in daily work assignments, ensuring a reasonable completion rate of work orders. Ensure safe, efficient, quality repairs are completed.
- Develops preventive, predictive and autonomous maintenance plans that equipment requires throughout its life cycle, specifying frequency for each maintenance task, based on a normal operation and on the objectives of the Maintenance function.
- Suggests specific activities for inspection, lubrication, cleaning and change of parts to equipment, based on recommendations from the manufacturer, the supplier and from experience of Plant personnel, in order to timely detect and/or avoid equipment deterioration.
- Provides technical support and follow-up to major and highly specialized Maintenance jobs.
- Assures that all Maintenance and Operating tasks in the Plant are scheduled and planned as specified, following up the quality of jobs.
- Promotes ongoing improvement in equipment and administrative procedures. Work together with Production, Quality and Quarry personnel, exploring the opportunities to improve machines with respect to availability and reliability.
- Supports and to promote technical development of personnel of work teams.
- Collects and analyzes equipment history and investigate repetitive damages, in order to evaluate effectiveness of preventive – predictive Maintenance and operating procedures. The analysis of root – cause should be elaborated together with the plant management teams.
- Contacts original equipment manufacturers whenever it is necessary to resolve operating and reliability problems.
- Controls design and specifications of new parts or components.
- Assists in planning major shutdown work requests with a high degree of specialization, regarding instructions, human resources estimate, materials, special tools and estimated duration of jobs.
- Advises about technical problems found in equipment.
- Implements, updates and analyzes KPIs for the Maintenance Department.
- Assists with annual operating budget development.
- Contributes to capital expenditure project planning and execution.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

- 2 - 5 years: Previous work experience in a cement plant or closely related industry.
- Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field
