LCRA is seeking a team member to join its Regulatory and Market Compliance team! As an Analyst, you will be a part of LCRA’s continued success in maintaining compliance with the North American Electric Reliability (NERC) standards and ERCOT Operating Guides and Protocols. You will be trusted to:
•Analyze, review, and administer all applicable NERC reliability standards to ensure compliance affecting assigned group.
•Provide support for writing, designing and implementing procedures, plans and any other such documentation and subject matter which will ensure compliance practice at an acceptable level of quality.
•Advise assigned group of pending revisions and/or changes in standards. Participate in defining the obligations to reasonably demonstrate compliance with the reliability standards.
•Provide support to senior analysts and assigned groups related to records management structure, storage locations, retention requirements, and file naming conventions to ensure safekeeping of all objective evidence records used to demonstrate compliance.
•Administer compliance monitoring process to ensure that activities required by the reliability standards are performed and properly documented in a timely manner.
•Provide support to senior analysts on written responses and data analysis and collection activities at request of Texas RE, NERC, and / or ERCOT.
- Assist in the preparation of responses to compliance requests for information, compliance violations, self- certifications, spot check documentation.
•Participate in all functions related to audit preparation. Assist assigned group during compliance audits.
•Provide support to senior analysts and assigned groups related to the creation of corrective actions and mitigation plans, including scope, timing, and priority of planned response to observations, findings and recommendations of internal and external compliance audits.
•Participate in the development of compliance-related training for delivery to staff, management team and executive management and foster a climate of NERC compliance throughout the company.
•Develop working relationships with key individuals at NERC, Texas RE and ERCOT.
You qualify with:
•Six or more years of experience in engineering, business analysis, project management, regulatory analysis or regulatory compliance or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in engineering, math, science, business administration, project management or other relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
•Three or more years of experience regarding electrical power transmission, distribution or generation operations.
•Knowledge of key analytical concepts in areas of electric operations, power plant operations and energy markets.
•An understanding of NERC standards, ERCOT Operating Guides and Protocols and compliance.
