Acting as lead motivator, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the daily performance, accountability, and supervision of the Regional Equipment Sales Team. In addition to the management of sales personnel and resources to help secure business, this role may require direct involvement with accounts, particularly ‘key’ accounts, to sell power generation solutions. The ability to combine sales and customer service expertise with professional management skills will be a key to success in this role. Execution is also a key skill required to meet the needs of the customers and to provide the best customer ‘sales experience’ in the industry.
What You’ll Do – The Role (Responsibilities)
· Create, roll out and execute a business plan and sales techniques to meet regional sales goals
· Develop, coach, and support the team members to achieve their full potential in sales, gross margin goals and customer service expectations.
· Hold team accountable for budgets, timelines, industry proficiency, activities, account development, customer events and provide assistance and support as required to achieve efficient and effective processes.
· Build and sustain supportive relationships with customers, suppliers, interdepartmental supporting teams.
· Other tasks and responsibilities may be required.
· A minimum of three (3) years management experience in a sales environment
· Preference will be given to candidates with experience in similar or related industries, such as Electric Power Generation, Electrical/Mechanical equipment distribution/wholesale, Machinery Manufacturing, heavy equipment, agriculture equipment, construction equipment, HVAC, and electrical supply companies.
· Professional attitude, proactive, detail-focused and success oriented
· Ability to coach, assist and collaborate with team members.
· Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment.
· Excellent organizational skills and strong ability to deal with competing priorities.
· Technical and Application knowledge of PowerGen systems
· In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government, be available for work.
· Must be willing to travel away from home throughout the region and work flexible hours (including nights and weekends) to complete tasks as assigned.
· A driver’s License in good standing is required.
