POSITION SUMMARY
Marathon Petroleum Company LP, a recognized leader in the energy industry, is accepting applications for a Refining Laboratory Technician position in its Illinois Refining Division's Laboratory in Robinson, IL. This position offers immediate responsibility and a generous benefit package. Shift work is required and overtime may be required as conditions warrant.
This position is NOT eligible for relocation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible or the following:* Perform multiple analytical tests at the same time with strict adherence to procedures.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum (Required) Qualifications* Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree with a minimum of 16 hours of college credit in Chemistry from an accredited technical college or university.
Preferred Qualifications* Degree major in Chemistry.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sample collection and material handling responsibilities of the role requires ability to lift 20 lbs.
SCHEDULE
Employees work a rotating Day/Night 12-hour shift schedule (DuPont), from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., includes weekends, holidays and overtime (required).
PAY AND BENEFITS:
Pay range for position (reflects current pay rates, subject to increase):* Starting Rate: $35.50Position eligible for Annual Cash Bonus plan with a target of 7 - 14% of annual eligible earnings. Benefits include:* 401k plan with Company match of 7% on 6% employee contribution.
