Quarry Crew Member

Located near Ellettsville, IN, we are a locally owned and operated limestone quarry and mill operation. We are looking for reliable, dedicated workers to join our quarry crew. All applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screening. We are looking to hire immediately, pay is based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Impeccable attendance and promptness

- Strong communication skills, especially with supervisors and fellow employees

- Careful use of company equipment and tools

- Inspecting any equipment before and after usage

- Tracking scheduled maintenance

- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, tools and equipment

- Strict adherence to all Big Creek and MSHA Safety Programs and Policies

- Notifying Supervisor of any maintenance or safety issues

- Aiding in a safe and healthy work environment

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates are dedicated to learning and performing all duties and responsibilities of a Quarry Team Member. Including but not limited to: performing pre-shift equipment inspections, routine/minor maintenance/repair of equipment, assist and perform "blocking" of saw track, operate and tend to quarry chain saws, track, electrical boxes and hoses from one sawing location to another. Working with/ extraction team members to learn the operation of all equipment necessary for the removal of stone from the deposit and transfer to the Mill.

Special consideration given to those with experience operating quarry belt and/or chain saws.

Previous experience considered in starting pay.
