The Quality Technician plays a vital role in supporting the inspection, testing, and documentation of materials, components, and finished assemblies. This position ensures products meet military, customer, and internal quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
· Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on machined, welded, and assembled parts per MIL-spec and customer requirements.
· Utilize inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and hardness testers to verify conformance.
· Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical data packages (TDPs) to ensure product compliance.
· Support first article inspections (FAIs), First Article Test (FATs) and PPAP documentation.
· Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, NCRs, and quality reports within the ERP system.
· Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 and MIL-STD requirements for manufacturing processes.
· Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality management teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering preferred.
· 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role (defense, aerospace, or precision machining experience preferred).
· Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and MIL-STD inspection requirements.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP or QMS systems.
· Experience using standard metrology and inspection equipment.
· Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100 standards.
