This job involves maintaining the overall quality of fastening systems. This job is responsible for conducting routine inspections on products.
- Conduct testing for finished products and raw materials.
- Audit production lines to ensure product is made to specification.
- Complete internal calibrations on time and according to schedule.
- Review material certifications and report any discrepancies.
- Accepting or rejecting product and discussion results with teams.
- Keep lab and equipment in good condition and proper working order.
- Report any quality issues to management.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Do other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma/GED is highly preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality testing role.
- Tool testing experience is preferred.
- Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Experience with various computer systems
- Preferably has a working knowledge of micrometers and calipers.
- Can accurately and efficiently record quality testing outcomes.
- Must have proficient math skills and be able to read, write, add, and subtract.
- Must have above average manual dexterity.
- 100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry +/- 40 pounds.- Must be able to withstand continuous exposure to disagreeable noise, dirt, and fumes within the OSHA allowance.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.
- 75% of the time is spent standing throughout the shift.
