The Quality Systems Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining Beta Engineering’s Quality Management System (QMS), including developing QMS policies and procedures, conducting internal audits, managing documentation, leading corrective action processes, providing quality training, and reporting on quality performance to senior management. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Manage all QMS documents, including procedures, work instructions, forms, and manuals; ensure revision control and proper approvals
- Support other departments in formatting and publishing controlled documents in compliance with company standards
- Assist in internal process audits and maintaining audit records
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues
- Lead initiatives to analyze and improve quality processes, identifying root causes of issues and implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Ensure corrective actions are undertaken to address non-conformities found
- Verify closure of non-conformities
- Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, measure performance, and generate reports for management
- Develop and facilitate training programs to educate staff on quality standards, procedures, and the QMS
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Work across departments to promote quality initiatives, resolve issues, and ensure cohesive quality strategies
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the quality strategy
- Communicate with personnel at all levels, internally and externally, to the company in relation to quality matters
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization
- Work as part of the operations team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery in line with quality standard requirements
- Takes ownership of projects and sees them through to completion
- Excellent interpersonal skills Including written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
- At least 5 years in quality assurance or quality control or related field
- Certified in ISO 9001 preferred, but not required
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Will work in an office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards. May involve prolonged periods of sitting and frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Use of company vehicle, on occasion. A successful Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required
