Quality Control Coordinator

Job Overview

Looking for Quality Control Inspector for full time work in our Grande Prairie Shop. Candidate needs to be LOCAL, work shifts will be Monday to Friday (Occasional weekend days as required)

QC Inspection role and Data Book Turnover experience an asset

Duties

This role is comprised mainly of data book entry and turnovers but not limited to:

- Material receiving inspection and verification

- Evaluate MTR's and documentation delivered with goods against PO's and material specifications

- Perform visual inspections of fit up prior to welding and finished welds

- Monitor welding conditions, parameters, consumable control and post weld heat treatment operations

- Complete reports when required

- Monitoring welding and carrying out final weld visual inspection

- Verifying all NDT completion releasing the piping for hydro test

- Witness hydro tests

- Final piping reinstatement inspection and witnessing applicable bolt torque

- Read and understand P&ID's, piping plans, elevations and piping isometrics

- Ensure all equipment for inspection of welding and post-weld heat treatment operations are maintained

- Complete inspection reports and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and ready for filing

- Creation and timely compiling of turnover packages in order to meet the specified schedule

- Maintaining welder qualification records

- Ensure work conforms to client specifications, relevant codes and regulatory

- Ensure all ITP stages are followed

- Ability to complete Non-Conformance Reporting to identify and support corrective action

- Experience with weld mapping, as-built drawings, redlining engineered drawings, and creating hydro-test packages

Skills

- CWB Welding Level 1

- Well versed in ASME, ABSA, API and CSA Construction Codes

- Experience with Acorn Pipe software

- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

- Experience with Microsoft Office suite

- Must have a strong background on a computer, understand and able to complete turnaround binders in a correct and efficient manner.
