The Quality Manager - Nuclear Operations Training Instructor will provides expertise in analyzing technical learning needs for a business or function then designs and delivers training solutions. We are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; and working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

•

Contribute to the design and development of the Initial Certification/License Training Programs for the /BWRX-300 technology, using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and following industry best practices.

•

Contribute to the quality oversite and maintenance of the Operations Training KSA Analysis/Catalogue(s), Job & Task Analysis, Task to Training Matrices, Curriculum and Evaluation Strategies, Training Program Delivery Schedules, Training Material and Evaluation Instruments.

•

Contribute to the design and development of the Continuing Training Programs for both licensed and non-licensed operators.

•

Contribute to the instructional quality oversite of the curriculum/materials for both licensed and non-licensed training programs for BWRX300 and other similar technologies.

•

Represent GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) training in internal, customer and regulatory venues.

•

Work with other operations training instructors and personnel to support the management and delivery of the training programs and provide strong leadership for assigned programs.

•

Lead/support training program reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of training and establish priorities and drive plans for continuous improvement.

•

Contribute to the develop/support corrective actions to address identified areas for improvement.

•

Work with other training and business units to support the Fleet Services enterprises.

•

Perform special assignments and other related activities as assigned by the Training

•

Manager/Leader.

•

Certify as a BWRX-300 Senior Reactor Operator

Required Qualifications:

•

Certified as a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Instructor at a BWR

•

Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years' training experience in the nuclear industry, familiar with nuclear industry standards and training practices

Eligibility Requirements:

•

The preferred work location is the Wilmington, NC Headquarters but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.

•

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

•

Willingness to travel to other GVH sites and client sites both domestic and international as necessary to support training initiatives. 30% travel.

Knowledgeable of, and able to implement, the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).

•

Knowledgeable of Nuclear Operations and related Training including Normal/Off

•

Normal/Abnormal/Beyond Design Basis Plant Conditions.

•

Excellent written and oral technical communication skills including technical English composition, grammar, syntax, formatting, etc.

•

Demonstrated ability to deliver training, effectively conveying technical concepts to operations personnel that facilitates learning.

•

Demonstrated personal integrity with ability to handle proprietary, confidential, export controlled and complex technical information.

•

Organized self-starter, with demonstrated ability to perform under pressure, set priorities, meet tight deadlines and with proven ability to gauge needs and proactively take action without direct supervision.

•

Team player with strong interpersonal skills, excellent planning, project leadership and problem-solving skills.

•

Ability to work independently, setting priorities and successfully managing multiple tasks simultaneously with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

•

Demonstrated ability to operate computer systems, including demonstrated proficiency in the following software applications: MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.

•

Knowledge of Nuclear Power Plant technologies; including BWR and PWR

•

Previous qualified as a field operator at a BWR

•

Previously qualified as US Navy Engineering Laboratory Technician (ELT)

•

Training Program development and implementation experience under both INPO and NRC Regulatory Frameworks.

•

Experience with Initial and Requalification Certification Examination development, conduct, and grading.

•

Experience delivering all phases of Operator Training; GFES, Station Systems, and

•

Simulator.

•

Experience with Computer Based Training (CBT) implementation including multi-media training content using current industry approaches.

•

Experience using an LMS, training database or Vision software.

The base pay range for this position is $112,000 to $160,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Tuesday, August 5th.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
