We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with all industry regulations. You will conduct thorough inspections, perform quality audits, and utilize precision measuring instruments to maintain quality assurance throughout our manufacturing process. You will also work collaboratively with production teams to address quality issues promptly and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Conduct in-process, final process, and post-shipping inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Perform receiving inspections and sub-contract receiving inspections as required
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines, and vision inspection systems to perform accurate measurements
- Execute first article inspections and document results using software tools such as Calypso
- Implement and maintain quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CGMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations
- Perform data collection and analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement within the manufacturing process
- Coordinate and execute quality audits to ensure adherence to company procedures and regulatory requirements
- Perform rework and post-rework inspections when necessary
- Conduct instrument calibration and maintain quality equipment
- Address quality issues collaboratively with production teams and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results and quality metrics
- Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance training programs
- Comply with all safety procedures and company policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year of metal fabrication or quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and basic shop mathematics
- Demonstrated experience with precision measuring instruments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, CGMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations
- Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions
- Proficiency with vision inspection systems and quality management software
- Forklift certification
- Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused mindset

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining independence
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams

- General light to moderate duty work
- Ability to use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
