Project Title: Data Analysis for Operational Efficiency in our Rolling Mills
Project Overview: The project aims to enhance the operational efficiency of a rolling mill by leveraging advanced data analytics techniques and using Python scripting to automate the analysis. We will gather data from sensors, machines, and production logs to create a comprehensive dataset. We will then apply statistical methods, such as Statistical Process Control, to analyze and identify trends in the data. It is also possible that we will use simple Machine Learning models to predict mechanical properties of the metal alloys we produce.
The candidate will work closely with our Process and Quality Engineers to learn our manufacturing processes and will spend time on the floor seeing first-hand how our metal is made. This is a great opportunity to learn about how we manipulate the properties thru different process routes of a range of metal alloys used in aerospace, automotive and nuclear.
