About the Role
Vericor is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in Greer, SC. This role will be responsible for driving supplier, customer, and internal quality initiatives that ensure product integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and stakeholders.

- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes to resolve quality issues.
- Manage Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) through closure with cross-functional teams.
- Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and Authorization to Ship (ATS).
- Conduct supplier audits, manufacturing reviews, and technical assessments.
- Define, communicate, and train suppliers on Vericor quality requirements (VQDP, QP).
- Support supplier development through risk assessments, DSQR training, and part activation requests.
- Track supplier performance metrics and lead improvement initiatives.
- Maintain Supplier Quality procedures in Teamcenter and update approved supplier lists.
- Lead resolution of customer quality issues with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Perform effectiveness reviews to ensure long-term resolution.
- Contain non-conforming parts via stock sweeps at the Greer facility.
- Support and improve the Vericor Quality Management System.
- Lead internal ISO 9001 audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and products.
- Support manufacturability assessments, producibility tests, and internal inspections.
- Serve as backup for the Quality Specialist and QA process owner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in quality management.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Technical aptitude with strong business acumen.
- Proven ability to collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Field Service, Program Management, and Finance.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and effective at managing multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 30%–40% travel (domestic and international).
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Six Sigma or equivalent quality certification.
- Experience with bills of materials, technical drawings, and industrial manufacturing.
- Knowledge of castings, forgings, machining, and aero-derivative gas turbine components.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
