The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and standards to ensure that products meet customer expectations and comply with regulatory requirements. This role involves root cause analysis, continuous improvement, auditing, and close collaboration with production, engineering, and supply chain teams.
Develop and implement quality assurance standards, processes, and controls.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
Participate in new product development and ensure quality requirements are met from design through production.
Monitor and analyze manufacturing quality data and trends to recommend improvements.
Conduct internal and external quality audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other applicable standards).
Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure incoming materials meet specifications.
Create and maintain quality documentation including control plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, and inspection instructions.
Support regulatory and customer compliance through documentation and audits.
Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
Train personnel on quality procedures and inspection techniques.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field required.
2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering role.
Experience with ISO standards and quality systems required.
Strong understanding of quality tools: FMEA, SPC, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, APQP, PPAP, MSA.
Proficiency with quality software and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
Certification such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus.
May involve occasional travel to suppliers or customer sites.
