The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that products and services meet established standards. The position will utilize analytical, engineering, and quality control methodologies to monitor products and processes. The team member will help develop and implement quality improvement strategies and systems to improve the Quality Management System. Essential Job Function:
- Responsible for performing job duties in a safe and conscientious manner, following all procedures, programs, and policies established for specific department and calling attention to any unsafe acts observed in the work of others.
- Coordinates the internal audit program including, but not limited to, making sure auditors are trained and sufficient auditors are available, scheduling and completing audits, and evaluating audit follow-up.
- Works with technical staff to support new product development and testing.
- Works with production, engineering and management to create and maintain a quality culture, including establishing quality metrics as needed.
- Oversees the site calibration program. Responsible for coordinating in-house and third-party calibrations.
- Works with QC Laboratory to create and/or maintains reports, databases and procedures.
- Develops product dashboards that are used for monitoring product quality and equipment performance.
- Establishes a presences on the shop floor by completing routine quality walks.
- Performs refresher and onboarding ISO-9001 Quality training for team members.
- Recommends and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, sit and reach.

1. A 4-year degree in Science or Engineering. (Significant relevant quality experience may be substituted for a 4-year Degree.)
3. Superior communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
4. Trained on ISO-9001 2015 Quality Management Systems required and experience with AS-9100 a plus.
7. Proficient in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
8. Exceptional technical skills, analytical ability, judgment and strong operational focus.
· Associates Degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) field. Preference given to those holding a Bachelors’ degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
· Minimum two years of laboratory experience. Experience obtained in undergraduate studies may be used to meet this requirement
· Experience in manufacturing is strongly recommended, although not required.
