Quality Control Inspector Location: Lancaster, PA Company: PDQ Manufacturing
PDQ Manufacturing, a leading producer of commercial door hardware, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Inspector to ensure incoming and outgoing products meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and reliability. - Interpret and analyze mechanical drawings and blueprints to verify product specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and refine testing methods for components and assemblies.
- Inspect and evaluate architectural finishes for compliance with industry and company standards.
- Conduct sampling and testing of incoming and outgoing products based on established quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough inspection records and documentation.
- Identify and report quality issues or concerns to senior management promptly.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming shipments of parts and materials.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production setting.
- Experience operating forklifts and hand trucks preferred (training available if needed).
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Manual dexterity to operate inspection tools and machinery.
