The NOV Fiber Glass Systems San Antonio, TX tubular facility is seeking to hire a Quality Supervisor to join our dynamic team. You will lead the day-to day-quality control team's efforts to ensure products meet internal and external requirements and customer specifications. Plans work, assigns coverage, escalates risks, and performs inspections and tests when needed. Drives teamwork, problem solving, and continuous improvement while following company policies and safe work practices.
- Coach, develop, and assess QC team members; verify training/authorization before task assignment.
- Lead Tier meetings (safety/quality/throughput), communicate priorities, and coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to remove roadblocks.
- Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections when needed, including dimensional checks, hydrostatic testing, and visual acceptance per procedures.
- Setting the factory acceptance test, ensure correct work instruction, procedure are in place.
- Ensure continued compliance to API Spec Q1 and/or ISO 9001, API 15HR, and relevant FGS procedures; support internal and supplier audits and document control.
- Own line clearance/inspection status, product identification & traceability, control of nonconforming product, and MRB coordination; issue and close CARs with data‑driven root cause and effectiveness checks.
- Anticipate risks (Inspection equipment, staffing gaps); re‑sequence inspections and deploy contingency plans to protect customer deliveries and compliance.
- Lead rapid response on line stops/escapes; document, contain, communicate, and recover.
- Model safe work practices, correct unsafe conditions, and maintain a clean, orderly QC work area consistent with existing QC role expectations.
- Create JHA, Work Instruction, Procedure, and Forms as needed.
- Perform necessary training and develop competence plan for QC team.
- Approving timecards inside NOV time.

- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.

- C/QA experience in manufacturing, including 1+ year in a lead/supervisory or trainer role (or equivalent demonstrated leadership)- Ability to work overtime and shift work as required
- Standing, walking, bending/stooping, and repetitive motion up to 8 hours daily; lift up to 50 lb; push/pull as needed
