Our client, a leading civil engineering firm, is looking to expand their team with a Project Manager specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of municipal and private sector projects while playing a critical role in the design and management of essential water and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management and a deep understanding of water/wastewater infrastructure design.
Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
•Lead the design and implementation of water and wastewater systems for public and private clients.
•Manage and mentor engineers and support staff throughout projects.
•Ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and technical standards.
•Oversee design calculations, reports, and drawings.
•Develop proposals and manage client relationships, serving as the main contact.
•Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for efficient project execution.
•Utilize design software like Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD.
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
•Monitor project progress and budgets, providing updates to teams and clients.
Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s a plus).
•10-15 years of experience in water/wastewater system design, preferably for municipal clients.
•Proficient in Civil 3D, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, and Microsoft Office.
•Experience with InfoWorks WS or InfoWater is a plus.
•Strong project management skills with the ability to lead teams and handle multiple projects.
•Knowledge of water/wastewater regulatory requirements.
•Willing to travel for project site visits as needed.
•Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create Excel trackers, and be able to use Word and PowerPoint for reporting/presentations via Teams or in person.
