The Role:
Primary responsibility is to manage all phases of assigned commercial solar projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes planning, scheduling, resource management, budgeting, and client communication. The PV Project Manager is also responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to support current and future business.
- Oversee construction projects from start to finish
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Develop and update project schedules, including critical milestones
- Review and negotiate subcontractor scopes, timelines, and costs
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate internal and external project stakeholders
- Monitor job sites for progress, safety, and quality standards
- Document daily activities, progress, and site issues in Procore
- Lead project meetings with internal teams and clients
- Review project deliverables prior to submission to clients
- Manage change events and work with accounting on project reviews
- Ensure all project documents are complete and stored appropriately
- Assist with resolving field issues and optimizing project sequencing
- Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams as needed
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction projects
- Strong understanding of PV solar building systems and processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project
- Ability to travel to construction sites as required
- Ability to learn and become proficient in Procore construction software
- Ability to plan, schedule, and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors, engineers, and field personnel
- Strong organizational, time management, and leadership skills
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and manage project budgets
- Familiarity with contracts and scopes of work
- Ability to lead project meetings and manage client relationships
- Understanding of change order processes and cost control
- OSHA or NABCEP training/certification
- Prior experience with utility-scale or community solar projects

Schedule:
Full-Time | Travel Required | This position requires a combination of office and on-site work. Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and traveling to job sites on a regular basis.
