Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM - with schedule flexibility to meet the demands of the role and accommodate personal circumstances.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for executing and closing projects related to the assembly and delivery of positive displacement blowers, oil-free compressors, and vacuum pump as well as turbo blowers, working within pre-defined project scopes. This includes managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholders. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of project management methodologies and the industrial equipment manufacturing environment, specifically within the positive displacement & turbo blower sectors. The Project Manager ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Execution:
•Manage project execution according to the project plan, within the defined scope.
•Monitor & report on project progress and track key milestones related to equipment technical documentation, procurement, assembly and delivery.
•Coordinate activities with the Project Engineer, Supply Control Coordinator, Production Manager and other internal resources to ensure seamless project flow.
•Manage project budget and track expenses related to equipment, materials, and any outsourced services.
•Proactively identify and resolve project issues and risks, particularly those related to the specific equipment being assembled.
•Communicate project status regularly to stakeholders, including updates on assembly progress, testing, and delivery timelines.
Project Closure:
•Ensure project deliverables are met to the required quality standards and customer specifications.
•Conduct project closeout meetings and document lessons learned.
•Finalize project documentation and archive project records in coordination with the project team, including technical manuals and testing reports.
•Evaluate project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
•Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including internal teams (sales, engineering, production, service), customers, suppliers, and commercial representatives.
•Effectively communicate project updates and address stakeholder concerns, including technical questions about the equipment.
•Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure project alignment, especially regarding delivery timelines for custom or complex assemblies.
Resource Management:
•Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Supply Control Coordinator, and Production Manager to secure necessary resources.
•Ensure efficient utilization of allocated resources.
Other Responsibilities:
•Contribute to department initiatives.
•Contribute to the development and improvement of project management methodologies and best practices.
•Participate in project portfolio management and strategic planning.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
•Participate in emergency drills and exercises, and be familiar with emergency procedures (evacuation plans, first aid, spill response).
•Contribute to a positive climate by preventing and eliminating any psychological harassment and sexual violence.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, college degree in engineering technologies, or equivalent.
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
•5-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment, ideally with experience in the positive displacement technology sector.
Language Proficiency:
· Professional proficiency in both English and French (written and spoken) is required. This includes the ability to communicate effectively in business and technical contexts.
Computer Skills:
•Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana) required.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, especially Excel.
•Proficiency in ERP systems (Business Central, SAP) required.
•Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and diagrams required.

Work Environment
•Office environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing areas where blowers, compressors, and vacuum pumps are assembled and tested.
•Remote work possible, with details to be discussed with the Director of Operations.
•Involves working on multiple projects concurrently.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to work in an office environment or a suitable remote work environment and occasionally visit manufacturing areas.
•Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, high-visibility vest).
•Ability to travel occasionally (less than 5%), as required.
