Job Summary
Support and consistently reinforce Coastal’s Core Values, acts as a resource for the Project Management and Superintendents, coordinating and completing the technical requirements of the project by performing a wide variety of tasks.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
•Manages and tracks RFIs, including drafting, issuing, and identifying potential cost impacts.
•Develops and maintains submittal logs; ensure submittals comply with construction documents.
•Reviews and interprets plans; update and maintain project as-builts.
•Collaborates closely with project managers and superintendents to streamline communication with subcontractors and vendors.
•Supports overall project delivery with urgency and an understanding of construction timelines.
•Utilizes Procore and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.) for project documentation and communication.
•Applies knowledge of construction processes and best practices to day-to-day coordination tasks.
•Coordinates with the owner’s rep to receive finish selections.
•Manages pricing, procurement, and scheduling of selected upgrades.
•Organizes and tracks all selections and deadlines to avoid project delays.
•Supports communication between the project team and ownership.
•Assists in schedule coordination and material lead time tracking.
Education / Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
•At least 2 years of construction experience.
Knowledge / Skills Required:
•Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
•Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
•Experience working in Procore preferred.
•Good interpersonal skills.
•Possess good client management skills and ability to build goodwill.
•Effective time management skills and logical decision-making ability.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•A strong sense of urgency and initiative. Able to quickly study and react to complex issues.
•Excellent problem-solving skills
