Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Asphalt Project Engineer to join our team. The Asphalt Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing asphalt paving projects from conception to completion. This role requires strong technical expertise in asphalt materials and construction methods, as well as excellent project management and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage asphalt paving projects from planning and design stages through to construction and completion.
•Collaborate with project stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
•Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
•Conduct site evaluations and assessments to determine project feasibility and requirements.
•Develop detailed project plans, including construction sequences, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
•Supervise asphalt paving crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
•Monitor project progress and performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
•Conduct quality assurance inspections and tests on asphalt materials and finished surfaces.
•Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during project execution.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in asphalt paving, grade and construction.
•Strong technical knowledge of asphalt materials, mix designs, and construction techniques.
•Experience managing asphalt paving projects of varying size and complexity.
•Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders.
•Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
•Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to asphalt paving and construction.
