Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The Project Engineer will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
•Develop and maintain project schedules using project scheduling tools such as Primavera.
•Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment between team members and subcontractors.
•Review and interpret contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications.
•Utilize construction management software for tracking project progress and documentation.
•Prepare and analyze construction estimates to ensure budget adherence.
•Conduct blueprint reading to understand project requirements and specifications.
•Implement time management practices to optimize workflow on construction sites.
•Facilitate communication between clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
•Monitor construction site activities to ensure safety standards are met.
•Participates in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation and contractor selection.
•Participates in identification & sourcing long lead equipment, assuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor.
•Coordinates development of Functional Interaction Plan.
•Coordinates project issues resolution process.
•Coordinates change requests & endorses change authorization.
•Responsible for the completion of the assigned work scope consistent with the Project Objectives.
•Engages Project Team and functional resources to verify that the design & construction is consistent with project specifications & standards.
•Leads Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems.
Experience
•Proven experience in project coordination within the construction industry is preferred.
•Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and processes.
•Proficiency in using Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.
•Strong understanding of blueprint reading and interpretation.
•Experience with construction management software is advantageous.
•Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
