Project Engineer II

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Duties

- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.

- Create and interpret schematics, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for system automation and control.

- Conduct system design and analysis using MATLAB and LabVIEW for project simulations.

- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production processes, including CNC machining.

- Draft technical documentation and reports to support project objectives and milestones.

- Participate in project planning meetings, providing insights on timelines, resources, and potential challenges.

- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the development phase, applying mechanical knowledge to find effective solutions.

Skills

- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) for 3D modeling and drafting.

- Strong understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their applications in automation.

- Familiarity with MATLAB for data analysis and system modeling.

- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including materials science and thermodynamics.

- Experience with manufacturing processes, particularly CNC machining techniques.

- Ability to read and create schematics for electrical systems.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on system design optimization.
