To support the engineering team in the execution of custom-engineered projects by assisting in process design, specification review, and project documentation. The Entry-Level Project Engineer contributes to the successful delivery of skid packages, heaters, vessels, and control systems by performing essential engineering tasks and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Assist in reviewing customer specifications and technical requirements under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure project compliance.
- Assist in creating and updating engineering documents such as:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Instrument and valve datasheets
- Help perform basic process calculations or sizing (with supervision).
- Generate or update BOMs for project components and materials based on design input and customer requirements.
- Request quotes from suppliers and vendors for materials and components.
- Assist with bid comparisons and technical reviews.
- Work alongside designers to ensure mechanical and electrical drawings reflect design intent and customer specifications.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing team during fabrication or assembly phases, helping resolve drawing or spec-related questions.
- Maintain organized project files, engineering documents, and status reports as directed by the lead engineer or project manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field). Recent graduates or final-year engineering students with internship/co-op experience encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Exposure to/or coursework in oil & gas, industrial process systems, or project engineering
- Understanding of basic engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and ability to work in a team environment
