About the Position:
Responsibilities:
•Manage the full engineering lifecycle of power generation and energy storage projects: early scoping, detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
•Serve as lead technical contact for assigned projects throughout all project phases—development, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
•Drive integration across engineering disciplines to ensure seamless interface between systems and alignment with project requirements and construction constraints
•Review and develop engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
•Conduct design reviews at key milestones (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC) and manage timely resolution of comments and revisions.
•Work with internal and external Engineering teams, vendors, contractors, and construction teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with OEM manuals, design drawings, performance and efficiency curves, safety recommendations, etc.
•Lead technical evaluation of equipment bids and vendor proposals (e.g., generators, breakers, transformers).
•Develop and independently manage project budgets and schedules, and provide data-driven cost estimates and strong guidance on design decisions and project impacts
•Develop and refine scopes of work, RFQs, design specifications, and processes to support engineering project development
•Supervise equipment quality testing, validation, and troubleshooting of OEM equipment, both in factory and field environments
•Manage technical documentation, processes and procedures, and quality standards
•Problem-solve creatively and investigate ways to improve processes, communication, collaboration, documentation, etc.
•Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in the energy industry
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; OR related engineering field plus at least 2 years of electrical-focused work experience
•3+ years working experience in engineering, field service, project management, and/or testing experience in power generation, transmission & distribution, renewables, oil & gas, industrial operations, or related field
•Proven knowledge of power generation, transmission & distribution, renewables, protective relaying, controls and communication protocols, natural gas infrastructure
•Proven knowledge of electrical infrastructure, apparatus, devices
•Familiarity with regulatory requirements and engineering standards relevant to low- and medium-voltage electrical installations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, ISA) and/or oil & gas mechanical installations (e.g., ASME, etc.)
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
