About This Job

Project Overview:

This position supports the development of advanced clean energy capabilities, with a focus on high-tech initiatives including digital twins, data analytics, immersive visualizations, large-scale power grid simulators, hardware-in-the-loop simulations, and forecasting tools. The Project Engineer will assist project leads and external contractors in managing, coordinating, and administering various aspects of high-tech energy-related projects.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

•

Support project administration and oversight following internal guidelines and procedures.

•

Perform a range of project management tasks, including cost and budget control and schedule development/maintenance.

•

Review and distribute technical documentation relevant to project development and implementation.

•

Assist engineering teams with administrative duties and provide oversight as needed.

•

Ensure that systems and equipment meet design, procurement, implementation, and operational requirements.

•

Coordinate technical review of system and equipment drawings among internal staff, vendors, and consultants.

•

Assist in managing review feedback from various departments to keep the project on schedule.

•

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.

•

Schedule and lead project meetings, take and distribute meeting notes, and maintain organized documentation.

•

Conduct cost studies and cost-benefit analyses to maintain financial compliance.

•

Support out-of-the-box thinking and contribute to innovative problem solving.

Required Skills:

•

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

•

At least 5 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in project management.

•

Strong background in managing high-tech projects such as:

•

Digital twins

•

Data analytics

•

Immersive visualizations

•

Power grid simulation

•

Hardware-in-the-loop simulation

•

Load and weather forecasting

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook) and project management tools.

•

Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and SAP.

•

Understanding of advanced project management and contract administration practices.

•

General technical knowledge of electric power systems and modeling.

•

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•

Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

Education & Certifications:

•

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (required).

•

Project management training or certification is a plus.

Pay: $42.58 - $45.26 per hour
