Project Engineer - Gas

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in the natural gas industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the capability to manage multiple large-scale projects. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within one year.

A Project Engineer starts the day by reviewing the status of multiple large-scale gas projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are on track. They coordinate with various teams, using tools like Microsoft Office, MS Projects, and GIS applications to manage documentation and schedules. Regular meetings with teams and clients help maintain clear communication and address any issues.

Throughout the day, they engage in client-facing activities, building and maintaining strong relationships. They ensure all projects comply with industry standards and regulations, focusing on safety and quality. By the end of the day, they update project documentation and prepare reports, reflecting on progress and planning for the next steps.

- 5-10 years of experience in the natural gas industry, with a focus on transmission pipelines.

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within one year.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Projects, and utility-based GIS applications.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with CAD software, specifically Civil 3D or MicroStation.

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and projects.

- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

- This position pays between $83,000 and $92,000 annually and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
