As a Project Engineer, you’ll lead design efforts on small to mid-sized or multi-discipline projects, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance. You’ll mentor junior engineers, coordinate with design teams, and deliver high-quality analyses and reviews. You’ll engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements, flag challenges to the Project Manager, and support business development. Your role also includes reviewing drawings, participating in quality control, and driving process improvements—all while maintaining a strong focus on precision and efficiency.
This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC. You’ll be expected to meet with the team and clients in Charlotte as needed, with approximately 10% travel for site visits and client meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in the pipeline or related industry.
- Experience with permitting and civil utility projects, including DOT or government design work.
- Valid driver's license for fieldwork or site visits.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience in gas design projects.
