Project Developer- Job Description
Summary:
•Provide leadership, management, and direction of project teams to ensure the successful outcomes of design-build construction projects.
•Find and negotiate Design-Build, CM and GC projects
•Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship manager with a client throughout the entire project life cycle.
•Develop and maintain networks of past customers, influencers, and others to procure work
•Market and promote Bobbitt’s capabilities
•Provide guidance and mentorship to Preconstruction Managers
•Serve as a resource to strategize sales
•Provide communication and financial management support to the Operations team during construction
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Find, navigate, negotiate, and sell Design-Build construction, Construction Management, and General Contracting services.
+ Create and execute presentations
+ Build & maintain influencer network
+ Maintain relationships with past customers
+ Ensure margin targets are achieved on projects
+ Work with the Business Development Team to win projects
•Customer Satisfaction (internal/external):
+ Communicate with customers throughout the process
+ Maintain relationships with customers
+ Communicate with team members; provide information early and often
+ Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project
•Safety and Risk Management:
+ Wear PPE on jobsites
+ Assist PM & Superintendents in maintaining a safe workplace
+ ID safety concerns to design and construction early in projects
+ Ensure team & client understand the project plan
+ Create, utilize, and maintain preconstruction schedules with input from design and construction
+ Create and utilize project execution plans throughout preconstruction
+ Create and utilize win messaging plans
+ Maintain & distribute records of meetings
+ Develop a strategy for self-improvement
+ Actively engage in assigned Community Engagement activities
+ Be involved in chamber/non-profit boards and committees for leadership development, networking, and community service
+ Ensure team members understand a customer’s project vision
+ Ensure information is given to team members in a timely manner
+ Ensure information is given to clients in a timely manner
+ Follow up with customers 30-60 days after completion of construction for walkthrough/feedback
+ Follow Bobbitt project process plan for each project
+ Utilize Procore Tools for all project information
+ Ensure the consistent flow of information to project team
+ Maintain project documents (Schedule, Project Execution Plan, Win Messaging Plan, etc.)
+ Create and execute an annual sales action plan

Work Format:
This position requires team collaboration and presence at in-person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule. Occasional remote work is acceptable.
Travel Requirements:
•Occasional travel (10-15%) to meetings and events, typically within a 150-mile radius of the office.
•Occasional travel to various job site locations as needed for photography or milestone events.
Physical Requirements:
•Ability to lift 50 lbs. as needed to handle general office related items, including copy paper, laptop, etc..
•Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
•Ability to see well (naturally or with correction).
