We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to join our team and drive project success.
The Project Coordinator at Fusion Industries Inc. will manage the planning and tracing of jobs and their respective processes throughout the build cycle.
- Job Scheduling & Tracking
- Maintain and update production schedules across all departments.
- Monitor job progress and adjust timelines as needed.
- Communicate priorities and upcoming jobs to department leads.
- Pre-Production Readiness
- Review drawings, BOMs, and job packets before release to the floor.
- Confirm material availability and identify shortages.
- Coordinate with purchasing for required materials or outsourced items.
- Shop Communication & Coordination
- Relay project timelines and priorities between office and shop floor.
- Meet daily with shop leads to review cutting, forming, welding, and paint lead times.
- Identify bottlenecks or resource conflicts and help develop solutions.
- ERP & Documentation
- Keep ERP system current with job status, routing updates, and completion details.
- Ensure production data and time tracking are entered accurately.
- Support job closeout by verifying all operations are complete and documented.
- Quality & Flow
- Ensure jobs are released in logical order to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Verify that completed jobs meet routing and documentation requirements before moving forward.
- Communicate any quality or fit-up concerns back to engineering or project management.
- Continuous Improvement
- Suggest scheduling or workflow improvements based on shop feedback.
- Help streamline coordination between departments for better throughput and delivery performance.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction industries, preferably including welding and coating processes.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs such as Excel.
- Knowledge of fabrication materials (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum) and processes.
- Knowledge or experience of metal fabrication methods like laser, plasma, forming, rolling, machining.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client and team relationships.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with industry standards, such as CWB or ASME certifications.
