Summary: Project Consultant III
to lead the planning and execution of oil & gas capital projects in Alaska. This short-term role will manage project development from the Authorization for Start (AFS) gate through project closeout, ensuring stakeholder alignment throughout the project and delivering on cost, schedule, HSE, and performance targets.

Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Integration•Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations
•Align project scope and execution strategies across Development Engineering, Planning, and Operations
•Communicate status updates, risks, and decisions across technical and management levels
Project Planning & Development
•Ensure robust project development including FEL 2 execution planning, cost/schedule estimation (P50), and risk profiling
•Coordinate assurance reviews and funding gate deliverables in collaboration with the Project Assurance Director
•Update and maintain the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Risk Register throughout the project lifecycle
Execution & Delivery
•Monitor cost and schedule performance against plan; raise trends and manage change control
•Support field teams and contractors in resolving construction and commissioning issues
•Ensure timely handover of documentation and deliverables to Operations for start-up readiness
Contracting & Interface Management
•Define scopes of work and support contractor selection through the Supply Chain organization
•Monitor contractor performance and escalate compliance or execution risks to Engineering or Construction Management
Closeout & Continuous Improvement
•Plan and execute project closeout activities, including documentation, demobilization, and team recognition
•Lead lessons learned sessions and contribute to continuous improvement of future projects
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering
•Minimum 5 years of experience with oil & gas facilities projects
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Office 365
•Willingness to travel up to 10% for project support
Preferred Qualifications:
•7+ years’ experience managing capital projects in the oil & gas sector
•Familiarity CPMS and project phase gate processes
•Experience executing projects in arctic or remote environments
•Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
•Demonstrated ability to lead projects from early planning through to commissioning and handover
