The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $125,766 to $157,208
Job Summary
QA/QC Program Manager is responsible for coordinating the strategy, results, communications, and performance of the QA/QC group for Gas Engineering and Operations in New York (NYSEG and RG&E), Connecticut (SCG and CNG), and Massachusetts (BGC). They will ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and implement QA/QC strategies to ensure consistent quality across all operations.
•Develop, implement, and manage the inspection strategy to ensure thorough and effective quality control in compliance with regulatory requirements.
•Coordinate, create, and communicate the inspection calendar and schedule to ensure timely and efficient inspections.
•Monitor and evaluate the performance of the QA/QC group, ensuring adherence to objectives
•Create and maintain an assessment process to identify risks. And use this process to drive inspection efforts and prioritize actions.
•Analyze QA/QC results to identify trends, areas for improvement, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
•Implement proactive measures to identify and resolve potential quality issues before they escalate.
•Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including engineers, operations staff, and management.
•Ensure all operations comply with state and federal industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
•Oversee the creation and maintenance of QA/QC documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
•Provide training and support to QA/QC staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
•Prepare and present reports on QA/QC performance and outcomes to senior management.
•Identify and mitigate risks associated with quality assurance and control processes.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA/QC processes and outcomes.
•Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, identifying areas for improvement.
•Collaborate with vendors to ensure the quality of materials and services provided meets regulatory standards.
•Manage QA/QC projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
•Collect and analyze customer feedback to improve QA/QC processes and address any issues.
•Manage the budget for QA/QC activities, including obtaining quotes for new materials, equipment or services, creating purchase orders (POs), paying invoices when necessary, and handling all vendor-related activities.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field with 8 or more years of related experience
•Proven experience in quality tools and processes, preferably in the utility industry
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
•Experience with regulatory compliance in the gas industry.
•Knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
