A Well Analyst is responsible for identifying and working on producing well exceptions, day-to-day analytics of well operations, and coordinating various tasks to ensure optimal production and operational efficiency.
- Identify and work on producing well exceptions: RT/cycle deviations.
- Responsible for analytics of day-to-day well operations.
- Assist with the coordination of hot watering, chemical treatments, rigless jobs, etc.
- Report on well failure activities.
- Understand variances to report downhole, surface, or POC issues.
- Report on displacement changes (SL, SPM).
- Responsible for accurate and timely well tests and downtime reporting.
- Analyze tests and troubleshoot variances.
- Identify production opportunities for well and lease-level variances.
- Identify production opportunities based on oil loss.
- Work with Well Techs/Analysts on storm recovery initiatives.
- Return well to production following rig off reporting.
- Maintain well test coding and continuity.
- Report uncontrolled release efforts/data.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associates or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1-3 years of Oilfield Surface Production specific to Well Analyst or Engineering Tech.
- 1-3 years of Oilfield Surface Production highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Nexus and OpenWells Software highly desired.
- Must be willing to work Night Shift.
- Strong foundation and understanding of data processes for analysis and visualization.
- Strong problem solving/analytical skills to identify and manage data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis and mastery of Excel.
- Strong mathematical skills preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet the objectives of the role.
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, and agility.
