Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Miner is responsible for safely and efficiently executing production activities in an underground hard rock mining environment. The positions’ primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Operate haulage ore trucks and load-haul-dump (LHD) equipment to transport ore to designated ore passes or dump points
Perform mucking and tramming operations to maintain a consistent ore flow
Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
Assist with ground control activities, such as installing ground support, scaling loose rock, and ensuring workplace stability
Perform various underground support tasks, including material handling, ventilation maintenance, and equipment relocation
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members
Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and technical staff to ensure efficient workflow and task completion
Support the production team with additional duties as assigned.
Valid Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core certification is an asset
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in an underground mining environment
At least 2 years of underground mining experience, preferably in a production role
Licenses or certifications for operating 30-ton haulage trucks, scoop trams (LHD), rock breakers, and tractors would be considered an asset
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions with a focus on safety and efficiency
Schedule: 7 days on, followed by 7 days off; 11-hour day and night shifts (Kidd Operations reserves the right to modify working schedules as necessary, in accordance with applicable notice requirements and labor regulations.)
