Production Material Handler

Support all departments in Building #2 with distribution of materials to the correct location once delivered to staging areas in building #2.

Ensure that all material deliveries are scanned accurately for correct inventory and material control. Work with other department material handlers to keep production moving.

- Check material deliveries from the warehouse for accuracy.

- Delivery material to shelters in building#2 as needed to ensure less clutter in work areas.

- Practical problem solving in their material delivery areas.

- Help with material deliveries for contractors working in Building #2.

- Help fill in when department material handlers are absent.

- Forklift qualified and proficient.

- Good communication with area foremen to ensure material is handled and delivered correctly.

- Ensure safety rules are followed, and a safe work environment is maintained.

- Ensure housekeeping is completed daily.

- Solid knowledge of computer-based skills, Excel, Word, production schedules, etc.

- Flexible working schedule to help meet production schedules and material deadlines.

- Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

- Excellent time management.

- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

- Knowledge of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

- Ability to coordinate material deliveries to production staff.

- Ability to solve problems in a variety of standardized situations.

- Ability to work in an ever-changing work environment

- Understanding of the customer’s expectations for the product.

- Plan work tasks ahead and adapt to unforeseen interruptions.

- Understanding of our material tracking system.

- Ability to work in a team environment, motivate and assist team members

# EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

2-3 years of material handling experience.
