Responsibilities
The Production & Assembly Floater position is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Breakout Operations
•Remove products from sheet metal “skeletons” and organize them on pallets or bins for further processing.
•Discard empty “skeleton” in designated scrap area.
Assembly
•Operate disk and belt sanders, die grinders, handheld grinders, rivet guns and handheld drills.
•Be able to repetitively assemble small sheet metal housings.
Drill and Tap
•Operate drill press, tapping machine and flex arm.
•Understand tapped thread nomenclature and tapping process.
•Use proper gauges to inspect parts for dimensional quality.
Pem Press
•Basic understanding of part geometry to locate and install specific pem and standoffs as called out per print and or traveler.
•Basic understanding of needed settings and operations pertaining to the machine.
•Use of proper gauges to inspect parts.
•Organize parts onto pallets/bins for further processing.
Press Operator
•Spatial awareness to form specific parts into shapes required by our customer.
•Use hand tools to place and remove parts from inside the press.
•Understand finishing requirements on different types of ferrous and non-ferrous metal to prevent damage and follow blueprints for grain direction on the material.
•Use proper gauges to inspect parts.
•Organize parts on pallets/ bins for further processing.
Deburr
•Operate pedestal grinders and sanders.
•Operate handheld grinders, die grinders.
•Understand finishing requirements per blueprint/ traveler.
•Organize parts onto pallets/bons for further processing.
Roll Form Machine
•Knowledge of pinch points and safety in standard machine operation.
•Spatial awareness to bend specific parts into shapes.
•Basic understanding of needed settings pertaining to the internal computer of the roller
•Use proper gauges to inspect parts for dimensional quality.
•Organize parts onto pallets/bins for further processing.
Systems Used
•Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel)
Requirements
•Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
•Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions.
•Excellent attention to detail with quality-oriented mindset.
•Follow all safety practices laid out by the department leader.
•Keep a clean and organized work environment.
•Report any discrepancies in material or equipment to management.
•Lifting parts on a regular basis up to 25 lbs.
