Production Accounting Summer Student

We are currently seeking a Production Accounting Summer Student to join our Production Accounting team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Production Accounting, the successful candidate will have strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills along with a passion for learning. The work term will commence in May 2026 and will last approximately 4 months.

- Assist with gathering and analyzing production data to support revenue, royalty, and fee calculations

- Assist with monthly and quarterly production accounting journal entries

- Monthly account balance reconciliations

- Review property reports to ensure recognition of production, revenue, royalties and fees

- Update production accounting records to reflect changes in production factors, product flow, fuel estimates, gas analysis, royalties, and ownership

- Communicate with the field staff and internal teams to resolve data discrepancies

- Support other projects and initiatives as required

What You Will Bring To Arc

- This position is ideally suited for students interested in enrolling in the CAPPA Certificate program and students entering their final year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a preference for those specializing in Accounting, and are returning to their studies in the following term

- Experience in accounting is considered an asset, but not required

- Ability to perform tasks both independently and within a team environment

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through and resolve issues with good communication skills

- Intermediate MS Office/365 skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Experience in SAP or other financial systems is considered an asset, but not required

- Experience in the petroleum industry is considered an asset, but not required
