In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for transactional procurement activities as part of the Regional Execution Procurement team. Your primary focus will be to ensure the timely delivery of materials to support Turnaround and Business Unit Projects within the Rural Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be essential in meeting project deadlines and supporting the success of our operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are desirable
- 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and interact in a dispersed team environment
- Maintains and manages entire lifecycle of purchase orders and basic procurement documentation
- Assesses risks, identifies trends and opportunities, and makes recommendations for improving procurement processes, policies and procedures
- Assist in the commodity procurement of materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, warehouse and Central Transportation Mangement
- Support the timely delivery of materials for the Turn Around events and Business Unit projects
- Oversee change management processes and project closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office or our Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
- Some travel to sites may be required
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
