Niron is seeking a Process Technician to be the primary operator of key equipment used in both production and development work. Much of our equipment is under active development, and we're looking for someone capable of keeping these systems running safely, efficiently, and consistently. You'll collaborate closely with engineers to improve processes and procedures that accelerate learning and experimentation alongside material production. This role requires hands-on skills, curiosity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership over the tools and systems you manage.

- Operate, monitor, and maintain custom lab and pilot-scale equipment, with emphasis on high-pressure systems such as homogenizers
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with engineers to improve or develop new ones
- Perform routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and assist with system reconfiguration
- Execute both production and experimental workflows with consistency and attention to detail
- Record clear operational notes and observations to support process development
- Recommend workflow improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and learning
- Coordinate with facilities, EHS, and other support teams to ensure smooth lab operations
- Technical 2-year degree in a scientific field (physics, chemistry, materials, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in industrial or scientific lab environment- Excellent hands-on lab skills, eye for detail and ability to operate lab equipment
- Highly collaborative, enjoys working within a diverse team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 lb.
- Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry
- Experience with powder and chemical processing methods
- Experience with ISO in a manufacturing environment with understanding of the importance of following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Academic and/or industry experience working with advanced materials
- Experience working with nanoparticles, nanomaterials or powders in a laboratory environment
- Experience using analytical instrumentation including mass balances, micrometers, optical microscopes
- Base salary range: $ 60-85,000 based on experience, education, and capabilities
