Pay Range: $111,132 - $152,102
Job Summary:The Process Engineering Manger provides extrusion process engineering support to Extrusion North America plant locations, with a focus on improving operation efficiency. This position reports to the Director, Extrusion Excellence.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or Business.
- Minimum of ten (10) years in aluminum extrusion environments in roles such as Operations, Engineering, Quality or Operational Excellence.
- Minimum of five (5) years in extrusion process engineering or extrusion leadership roles.
- Recognized subject matter expert in the aluminum extrusion process.
- Strong understanding of automotive-grade alloys and related processes.
- Proficient with SCS Extrude and PVelocity (profitability and performance analytics software).
- Skilled in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Train, support, and coach shop floor leaders and team members on extrusion process control, daily management systems, process improvement techniques, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Ensure process changes are complaint and sustained across all plant locations.
- Monitor and analyze production equipment to validate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive recovery plans for underperforming production lines, including staff training, process optimization, and equipment upgrades to enhance productivity and uptime.
- Participates in ENS CapEX equipment selection/specification, commissioning, and post- commissioning capability validation.
- Lead the hiring and development of plant extrusion process professionals.
- Manages both top-down and bottom-up process optimization initiatives and develop business cases to address process variation and waste.
- 75% travel required.
