Process Engineer-Environmental

Description:

Position Purpose:

Will assist in the development, monitoring and coordination of production standards and methods for the effective utilization of resources and meeting the customer requirements. This position will also assist in the development of systems and procedures for the reduction of product manufacturing cost, reduction of scrap, effective utilization of resources, product improvement and the development and monitoring of efficiencies and standards to meet company goals.

Major Responsibilities:

1.Assist in providing expertise and experience in problems solving and determining potential problems with existing systems, operations and equipment. Recommend engineering changes to correct and improve the operating capabilities of plant facilities and equipment.

2.Assist in reduction of cost and improvement in efficiencies through development of systems, standards and procedures and monitoring of all manufacturing phases of the products.

3.Assist in the development, coordination and monitoring of all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication and operation of product designs.

4.Assist in the supervision of production workers.

5.Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.

6.Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems.

7. Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, improve product quality, resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information.

8. Assist in oversight activities involving installation and operation of equipment.

9. Maintain and adhere to ISO standards, including but not limited to, the Quality Policy Statement as well as the Quality Control Procedures Manual.

Requirements:

Necessary Qualifications:

- Four-year degree in an Engineering related field.

- Must be able to identify and implement process improvement projects.

- Working knowledge of foundry equipment and operations.

- Computer literate in word-processing and spreadsheets.

- Good written and oral communication skills. Must be able to affect change in a non-threatening manner.
