The Principal Origination responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•

Oversee deal origination and business development efforts throughout the entire US and abroad.

•

Develop and maintain a network of contacts within the energy industry, including natural gas consumers, LNG operators, International LNG consumers, power generators, and pipeline & storage operators.

•

Conduct market research to identify potential new business opportunities.

•

Willing and able to reach out to potential clients and partners to introduce EQT.

•

Develop value-add strategies around our existing firm transportation & storage portfolio. This may involve releasing existing capacity and/or adding new capacity in new regions.

•

Structure & execute complex transactions that create value for both EQT and our customers.

•

Business Development of new trading counterparties, LNG operators, International LNG buyers, pipelines and storage operators.

•

Develop new product/service offerings.

•

Able to perform basic analysis and financial modeling to assess the value-add of a particular proposal.

•

Coordinate seasonal customer-generated RFP responses.

•

Develop and coordinate EQT-generated RFPs.

•

Manage NAESB, ISDA, MSPA, KYC request process with potential new customers.

•

Occasional travel required to our Houston office.

Required Experience and Skills:

•

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.

•

Minimum of 10 years of experience in natural gas origination.

•

3-5 years of origination experience in the Appalachian or Northeast region.

•

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

•

Master’s degree in business, finance or engineering preferred.

•

Excellent sales & communication skills.

•

Ability to effectively present proposals to Senior level executives both internally and externally

•

Able to structure & execute complex, long-term “win-win” agreements.

•

Must bring an existing book of clients, but also be willing & able to generate new customer base.

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
