$125,000 to $175,000 depending on your skills and years of experience
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for automation and control systems
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
- Provide technical guidance and QA/QC oversight to ensure alignment with project and client standards
- Manage and support engineering services related to automation, communication, and control systems
- Lead project planning and execution with minimal supervision
- Ensure deliverables meet cybersecurity and critical infrastructure requirements
- Support field work, testing, and troubleshooting
- Allocate resources and delegate tasks across projects
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory changes
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients
- Support proposal development, project budgeting, and contract negotiations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable service
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months)
- Strong understanding of schematics, control logic, and automation programming
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, LAN infrastructure, and standard communication protocols
- Experience with automation platforms such as GE, Siemens, ABB, or SEL is a plus
- Strong multitasking and communication skills
- Experience with electric utility or renewable energy projects preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass drug screening, background check, and MVR check
- Occasional travel (up to 10%) to client sites or other SGC offices
- Some fieldwork may involve walking on uneven terrain
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
