OVERVIEW
The DMI Pricing Analyst is responsible for checking and verifying customer rebate programs, maintaining rebate records, and assisting with other analytical projects as needed. The Analyst will maintain an analytical mindset and be able to work independently as well as in a team setting. This role will use analytics to make recommendations benefiting the profitability of the company as well as supporting the growth of DMI market share.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Ensure accurate and on-time payments of rebates to DMI distributors in accordance with the terms of the rebate agreements.
•Maintain and validate all elements of the rebate process for accuracy (including, but not limited to, calculation, data quality, and internal reports).
•Communicate with DMI customers to provide any changes or updates to their rebate program, including any changes due to pricing increases or any missing rebate submittals.
•Provide analysis on the rebate programs to explain variances and diversion from existing trends.
•Ensure adherence to DMI Companies controls and internal processes. Maintain adequate supporting documentation for rebate payments and rebate reconciliations.
•Manage all audits and disputes. Initiate contact with DMI customers to resolve disputes and correct inappropriate rebate claims.
•Collaborate with DMI's Business Development Mangers to review rebate programs as needed.
•Provide input into contract negotiation strategies as it relates to the payment terms, system capabilities, and customers' data management.
•Monitor and respond to support requests from Sales, Customer Service Representatives, and other DMI departments for all rebate related issues.
•Resolve price discrepancies and maintain price integrity.
•Initiate year-end audits and reviews with Regional Channel Managers and Account Mangers for each DMI Strategic Business Unit.
•Complete any other analytical tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
•Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, sales or related field -preferred
•0-2 years of experience in pricing analytics, contract management, or financial decision making.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; strong attention to detail, and time management skills preferred.
•Excellent skills in excel, including proficiency with pivot tables, V-lookups, charts, and formulas; proficient working with large data files.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
