P&K Stone LLC is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to become a part of our team!
The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, light maintenance repair, and equipment inspections on rented, leased, and owned equipment. This includes, but not limited to, front end loaders, dozers, excavators, skid steer loaders, and haul trucks.
Job Responsibilities
•Adheres to company safety standards at all times, and follows all MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and other safety guidelines.
•Maintains a regular schedule for PM on all equipment and trucks in area of responsibility.,
+ Replaces filters, including oil, air, fuel, etc.
+ Changes fluids, including hydraulic, radiator, oil, etc.
•Performs daily maintenance checks on heavy equipment, including fluid checks, grease/lubrication points, and inspections to avoid unnecessary down time
•Maintain up to date spreadsheets of written records and data input on all equipment repairs.
•Communicates with the driver/operator regarding any issues
•Technical diagnosis and troubleshooting
•Inspects and maintains PM truck and reports any mechanical issues with the truck the same day.
•Maintain proper tools/parts inventory for specific jobs.
•Complete maintenance projects in a timely manner to ensure production goals.
•Perform other miscellaneous mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned.
•Manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting deadlines.
•Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
•Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in working with heavy dirt equipment
•Current, valid Class C driver’s license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekends
•Ability to read, write, and speak English
•Ability to communicate with others via a two-way radio.
•Ability to wear all required safety equipment
•Ability to perform duties in a safe manner
•Ability to work in a TEAM environment
Physical Requirements
•Must be willing to handle continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors.
•Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls.
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment.
•Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
•Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally. Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
